"Dixie Blue Iris"

The first floral image I took was this Dixie Blue Iris that grew wild in my front yard in Bryan, Texas. I showed it to a few friends and they convinced me to pursue more flowers to photograph. So, this is the image that started it all. It is also considered to be a Texas wildflower. This flower is very aromatic, but not in a good sense...kind of stinks, actually. I picked a bouquet once and brought them into the house and had to move them outside soon thereafter.
This portrait is available for custom printing up to 16x20 inches.
