I would like to introduce you to Fine Art Macro Floral Photography. I know it is a mouthful, but it is the best way to describe it. I invite you to take a moment to browse my blog and/or my website. I intend to upload new images every couple of days.

This image was published by Texas Highways back in April of 2008 and was placed inside the back cover. I took this image while living in Bryan and had paid a lot of attention to fresh growth along its stem. What I had found was that a good rainy season promoted more fresh growth from top to bottom of the plant. A dry season will produce skimpy plants with only the tops being new or fresh growth. The intense red coloration is actually part of the leaf structure and the actual flowers are the small pink areas near the leaves.
This portrait is available for custom printing up to 30x40 inches.
